About Our Church & Landscape
History of UCN
Since 1962, UCN has been providing the "Light of Religious Freedom and the Warmth of a Caring Community" in Ozaukee County.
Building and Landscape
In the early 1980s, UCN's members purchased eight acres of land to build our unique church, which replicates the architecture of octagonal Clausing barns built in Ozaukee County in the 1800s. After the building was dedicated in 1987, church members set out to create a native landscape to complement the rural natural beauty of the building and grounds.
Unitarian Church North is an appropriate and attractive setting for meetings, workshops, parties, concerts, weddings, commitment ceremonies, retreats, and other events. The visually appealing church, designed as an octagonal barn and set on eight acres amid native plantings, offers a simple and adaptable interior.
