Here’s a “sweet-tea” of a deal for you, the farmers, and UCN!  Attention all coffee and tea drinkers and those of you with a sweet tooth.  From November 5th to November 26th, UCN will be taking orders for Equal Exchange fair trade products that will include coffees, teas, cocoas, chocolates, candy bars, and a variety of unique gifts.  Catalogs and order forms will be available during Coffee Hour on Sundays or contact John Hoff at johnhoff@att.net or 262-377-3358.

By purchasing Equal Exchange products, you are supporting fair trade that ensures not only quality products, but fair compensation to the growers and harvesters, and environmentally sustainable growing practices.  You are also supporting UCN that shares in 40%, yes that’s 40%, of the proceeds.  If you are a regular consumer of any of these items, you can ensure that you’re living out many of the UU principles by purchasing fair trade products.  Please place your order today (no later than November 26th).  Distribution day for all products ordered will be Sunday, December 10th.

UCN’s Green Committee

Unitarian Church North seeks to heal and preserve the natural environment for our and future generations of all living things by increasing the sustainability and minimizing the negative ecological impact of UCN, our members, and our communities.

UCN’s congregation worked toward the UUA’s Green Sanctuary designation for several years. UCN received the designation in 2015.

Meeting Schedule
The Green Committee is currently not meeting on any regular basis.  Fro green-related issues, please contact John Hoff at johnhoff@att.net.
