“A Christian Nation? Yes and No,” Rev. Tony Larsen

On this Sunday after the 4th of July, Tony will give his first “official” sermon at UCN. Here’s what he has to say about his topic: “Conservatives often declare that our nation is founded on Christianity; liberals have quotes to prove otherwise. But there’s evidence that neither side is completely right–and that this is an issue as old as our country.”

Rev. Dr. Tony Larsen recently retired from being the minister at Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church in Racine. He has written a book entitled “Trust Yourself! You Have the Power,” authored a UUA curriculum and contributed chapters to UUA-published books “Salted With Fire” and “Everyday Spiritual Practice.” Tony has served on the boards of the Women’s Resource Center, Southeastern Wisconsin AIDS Project, Homeless Association Leadership Organization, Racine Jail Ministry, George Bray Neighborhood Center, Alliance on Mental Illness of Racine County, and the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin.
