“A Doubter’s Guide to ‘God Moments’” Kristin Gasser

Many of us were raised in religions with rich mythologies that, over time, we grew to doubt. The stories became too fantastical, the questions too many, and the skepticism too great to keep believing. Then the inevitable question arises…is there even a God? “Probably not,” you conclude.

Then, something happens to make you doubt your doubt. You have a ‘God Moment.’

Special piano duet by Ginny Chiaverina and Linda Block.

UCN member Kristin Gasser is a mother of two, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a web developer, and occasional volunteer for various organizations. She’s experienced life’s ups and downs, including the divorce and subsequent remarriages of her parents, being a chubby kid and adult, the death of a sibling, one bad marriage and one amazing one, one hard birth and one “easy” one, the death a parent, college and graduate school, growing up “freestyle” in the 70s and 80s, and being an optimist. What brings her to UCN for this service is a dragonfly, and a hope that sharing stories will make connections with, and for, others.
