“How Much of Life Is Luck?” Tony Larsen, Intergen service

Some people are described as lucky and seem to get all the breaks; others seem destined for tragedy, and if something can go wrong, it usually does. What is luck? And how much of it (if any) is within our control?

Rev. Dr. Tony Larsen has recently retired from being the minister at Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church in Racine (for over 42 years–a record!). He has written a book entitled “Trust Yourself! You Have the Power” (Impact Publishers, 1979), authored a UUA curriculum (“A Catechism for Unitarian Universalists”) and contributed chapters to UUA-published books “Salted With Fire” and “Everyday Spiritual Practice.” Tony has served on the boards of the Women’s Resource Center, Southeastern Wisconsin AIDS Project, Homeless Association Leadership Organization, Racine Jail Ministry, George Bray Neighborhood Center, Alliance on Mental Illness of Racine County, and the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin.
