Ceremonies at Unitarian Church North
“Life is a gift for which we are grateful. We gather in community to celebrate the glories and the mysteries of this great gift.”
— Marjorie Montgomery (from reading 452 in the UU Hymnal).
At Unitarian Church North, we gather in community to mark life’s milestones with ceremony.
We welcome new infants and children into our congregation with a ceremony that acknowledges each child’s uniqueness, and we believe that every child brings hope into the world. The congregation pledges to support the family and to provide a nurturing place for spiritual growth. As part of the minister’s blessing, the child is given a flower to symbolize the unique way lives unfold in natural beauty.
