Community Updates
Join us for the next Parent's Night!
Calling all parents! Come by the church November 13th at 6pm to join us for a night of pizza, childcare and lightly guided adult conversation. Find support with other parents, build community, and get a night off from cooking!
We're Hiring!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and musically knowledgeable Music Coordinator to plan worship
music, manage volunteers, and oversee copyright compliance. This role supports the spiritual mission
of the church through intentional musical planning and administration.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Church Accompanist to provide musical support for weekly worship
services and special occasions. This position requires a skilled pianist with excellent collaborative skills
and sensitivity to congregational worship needs, and flexibility with regard to multiple musical styles and
genres.
See our listings here for more details.
Something in the Water follows five water justice advocates who discuss how Milwaukee’s Black communities are disproportionately being lead poisoned, the debilitating effects it has on residents’ health, and their hopes to see equitable change that will heal the water and Black residents’ relationship to it.
Join us on November 22 at 1 p.m. in the Unitarian Church North sanctuary for this free screening, produced and directed by Milwaukeean Nateya Taylor. The filmmaker will be joined by community members to discuss the film, the ongoing crisis, and what we justice advocates can do to help. If you can’t attend in person, please log in by Zoom.
Lay Pastoral Care Message
The Lay Pastoral Care Team at Unitarian Church North is gathering potential volunteers for what we call Caring Circle: people who may be willing to bring meals, help with transportation, make visits, pick up groceries, etc. for members and friends of UCN in temporary need. We will be keeping a paper sign-up sheet at church, but members may also sign up virtually using the link below. Putting your name on the list does not commit you to helping when asked. Thank you!
